Hoplomachus: Hoplomachii were heavily armed gladiators who used spears, swords, and shields. They often wore helmets and greaves, and their armor was typically similar to that of Greek hoplites.

Secutor: Secutores were also heavily armed gladiators, but they were more agile than the Hoplomachus. They used a large rectangular shield and a short sword called a gladius.

Murmillo: Murmillo were gladiators who fought with a large oval shield and a gladius. They often wore helmets with large crests and were considered to be one of the most prestigious types of gladiators.

Retiarius: Retiarii were gladiators who used a net (rete) and a trident. They would try to trap their opponent in the net and then stab them with the trident.

Samnite: Samnites were gladiators who were named after the Samnite people of ancient Italy. They used a large oval shield, a gladius, and a pilum, a type of javelin.

Scutarii: Scutarii were gladiators who were equipped with a large rectangular shield and a gladius. They were similar to hoplomachii but were considered to be less experienced and less prestigious.

Provocatore: Provocatores were experienced gladiators who fought with the same equipment as secutores. They were considered to be one of the most skilled and respected types of gladiators.
