Begusarai shooting (1931 AD)

It was decided to celebrate the first Independence Day with full enthusiasm and enthusiasm on 26 January 1931. For this a huge procession was started from Prahas (present Suhdnagar) of Begusarai district under the leadership of Shri Raghunath Brahmachari.

When this procession reached near the old post office, DSP Bashir Ahmed ordered to shoot. Six persons were martyred on the spot in this firing.

These martyrs included Chandrashekhar Singh of Bhaiwar, Ramchandra Singh of Vandwar, Chhathu Singh of Ratanpur and Banarasi Singh of Pahasar. The names of two other martyrs are unknown. This bullet incident happened in front of Teddy Nath temple.
