History of Tamar Rebellion (1789-1794 AD)

In 1789, a rebellion against the exploitation of landlords started by the Urao tribe of Chotanagpur. This rebellion continued till about 1794 AD. As a result of this rebellion, in 1809, the British government arranged for Zamindari police force to maintain peace and order in Chotanagpur.
