History of the Ho Rebellion (1820-21 AD)

When Jagannath Singh, the king of Singhbhum (presently located in Jharkhand), protected by the British, wanted to suppress the tribes, the 'Ho' people of Chota Nagpur revolted tremendously in 1820- 21 AD.

In order to fool the 'Ho' people, the British agreed to help 'Ho' against the king, but later cheated. There was a conflict between the people of 'Ho' tribe and the British there. In 1821 AD, after fighting the British army for a month, the people were finally forced to compromise with the British.
