Vijayanagara Empire

The Vijayanagara Empire was founded in 1327 AD by two brothers named Harihara and Bukka with the help of their guru Vidyaranya. Hampi was built as the capital of Vijayanagara in 1327 AD. Vijayanagara ruled for 4 years. Sangam, Shaluva, Tuluva, and Aravidu.

Sangam Dynasty (1336 – 1485 AD)

Harihara I (1336 – 56 AD) was the first ruler of Vijayanagar, he laid the foundation of the rule of the Sangam dynasty. In 1356 AD, his brother Buka became the ruler, he assumed the title of Vedamarga Pratishpak. The Telugu poet Srinath composed Harvilasa while living in the court of Devaraya I. Devaraya II wrote a commentary on two Sanskrit texts, the Maha Natak, the Sudha Nidhi and the Brahmana Sutra.

Saluv dynasty (1485 -1505 AD)

In 1485 AD, Narasimha Shaluv started the rule in Vijayanagara. His general Narasa Nayak ended his successors in 1505 so I laid the foundation of Tuluva dynasty.

Tuluva Dynasty (1505 – 1569 AD)

Veer Narasimha, son of Narsa Nayak, is considered to be the founder of the Tuluva dynasty. In 1509 AD Narasimha Tuluv's brother Krishna Devaraya became the ruler. Krishnadeva Raya was the best ruler of Vijayanagara. He gave approval to the Portuguese governor Albuquerque to build a fort in Bhatkal. Krishnadeva Raya composed Amuktamalyad in Telugu language and Jambavati Kalyan in Sanskrit language. The scholars of Telugu language lived in his court, who were called Ashtadiggaj. Krishnadeva Raya also known as Andhra Bhoja, is also called on the Yavana kingdom Sapna. 1565 The combined forces of Ahmednagar, Bijapur, Golakund, and Badr defeated the Vijayanagara army in the Battle of Talikota or the battle of the demonic Tagdi.

Arvindu Dynasty (1569- 1612 AD)

Tirumal was the founder of the Aravidu dynasty, his successor being Rang II. In 1586 AD, Venkata II established the capital of Vijayanagara at Chandragiri, he corresponded with King Filmi III of Safed.
