Bahiya Taal/Bakasht Movement
For the return of Bakasht land, under the leadership of Karyanand Sharma, a movement was launched in Munger district town of Badhiya Tal in 1935. This movement was a collective effort by the exploited and oppressed farmers to take back their ryot land converted into Bakasht land from the zamindar servants.
Bakasht lands were told to him that due to the recession, the farmers had given them to the landlords because they could not pay the rent.
