Rayong Hospital has an area of ​​approximately 26 rai, formerly the area of ​​Wat Chantha Udom or Wat Keng. which is the soil of the monks of Wat Pa Pradu The condition of the area is generally coastal plains. It is about 200 meters north of the Rayong River and 2.8 kilometers north of the Gulf of Thailand.

The old chedi of Wat Keng is located on the east side of the hospital and on the east side of the administrative building. The pagoda is next to the kitchen.

History indicates that this chedi is the chedi of an ancient temple named “Wat Chantha Udom” or what the locals call “Wat Keng” is a temple built in the late Ayutthaya period. In the reign of King Rama V, Wat Keng was the first monastery to provide education equivalent to a secondary school level in Rayong Province. It was used as a place for various ceremonies such as the ceremony of holding water for the government officials.

Later, Wat Keng was abandoned. The dean of Rayong Province at that time gave land to build a Rayong Hospital. When the hospital was built (Beginning the construction of the hospital building around 1949) still appears the construction of the temple. especially the chapel, viharn and pagoda which later deteriorated over time and were dismantled. Only the chedi remains including the name of Chantha Udom Road, next to the hospital in the west.

According to history, this chedi was built during the reign of King Rama V when Phraya Si Samut Phokchai Chit Songkhram (Ket Yomjinda) was the governor of Rayong.

Architectural features are brick and cement chedi, bell-shaped, with a high base on the first floor. (about 1.6 meters high from the current floor) Octagonal layout The diameter is about 13.5 meters, each side has a length of about 5.4 meters on each side. The front of the board is made up of 2 pointed arches on each side. There are stairs leading up to the base of this floor on the north and south. Next up is a round lotus base to support a 3-tiered garland with a lotus mouth bell supporting a round bell body. As for the top, there are eight thrones and eight pillars supporting them. The information of the Fine Arts Department states that The round base of the chedi is approximately 2.15 meters from the edge of the octagon base. The octagonal base and the chedi are approximately 12 meters high.

At present, there are buildings surrounding it in a relatively close distance. There is a low chain fence. There are offerings and votives placed around the chedi. Small-medium trees were planted around the pagoda. except for the east side which is a road inside the hospital There are scaffolding or bamboo structures covered throughout the pagoda. As for the octagonal base on the east side or the side facing the road, a stone plaque is installed showing the Yomjinda family plan. and a sign showing the message of restoration "Restored on December 14, 1994, budget 200,000 baht by Sor. Chakrabhan Yomjinda"
