General condition
Wat That Khao is an abandoned ancient site. It is located in the southeast of Wat Chedi Liam, about 300 meters from the path through the entrance to Wat Phaya Mangrai and Wat Phra Chao Ong Dam to the south. The western part of Wiang Kum Kam 400 meters from the Ping River to the east.
The environment of Wat That Khao is surrounded by a private longan plantation. There is a new Boonrak Road that cuts through the front of the temple.

Wat Phra That Khao is an abandoned ancient site. No information appears in any historical document. The name of Wat That Khao comes from the villagers who called it after the white plastered chedi.
The Fine Arts Department has excavated and studied the ancient monuments of Wat That Khao in the years 1985 – 1986 (Department of Fine Arts 2005 :79). Found information on ancient sites and antiques as follows:
The archaeological site of Wat That Khao consists of a viharn, a chedi, an ubosot and a mondop. It is also found that Wat That Khao was constructed in two stages, initially only having a chedi, a viharn, and a ubosot, and a later stage was constructed to house more Buddha images.
Architectural features
Vihara is a hall facing east. At present, it appears only the base part in the rectangular plan. It is brick and plastered with white bricks. There is 1 front section. Inside there are 4 pairs of pillars. The back room has a Chukchi base for enshrining the Buddha image. 2. The chedi is located behind the viharn. Currently, only the lower chopping board is left in the square plan. Supporting the base of Patt Yokket 2 parts, after the construction of the south mondop in the second phase, there must be a line of glass walls connecting the end of the mondop around the chedi to the western end of the viharn.
3. The Ubosot is built in a rectangular plan. There is a stone parapet that defines the surrounding area.
4. Mondop is a building in a rectangular plan. Behind is a Chukchi base for enshrining Buddha images. There are stairs in the front.
Artifacts found
In 1985, a stucco Buddha image was found on the back of Mondop's Chukchi base. The amulet is in perfect condition, but the head is damaged. Therefore, the villagers jointly restored it to make it look like a native as it appears today.
In addition, a brick inscribed with Kham script was also found. Age can be determined around the 21st Buddhist century.
Determination of age
