What is the oldest wheat penny?

The oldest wheat penny is the 1909 VDB wheat penny. It was designed by Victor David Brenner and features the head of Abraham Lincoln on the obverse and two stalks of wheat on the reverse. The VDB initials are located at the bottom of the reverse, just below the wheat stalks. The 1909 VDB wheat penny was the first penny to be produced with the new wheat design, and it was also the last penny to be designed by Brenner.
