As part of our philosophy of promoting the educational and cultural improvement of the country, Educational Spill presents the work called Peruvian Educational Thought Collection , the first and only large-scale publishing project that studies and analyzes the development and evolution of education in Peru from the Inca period to the present. This important work has been carried out by a team of historians and educators with great experience, led by Manuel Burga Díaz , renowned historian and cultural manager. The research, presented in 15 volumes, covers from the fifteenth century to the present. This ambitious collection, exclusively sponsored by Educational Spill , also represents an academic and research program, which seeks to contribute to the knowledge of the historical process of educational thought, and in which important facts and situations that determined the course of education in Peru .
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Educational Spill , Professor Helí Ocaña informed that the realization of the project is based on the constant concern of the institution to generate new tools that allow raising the professional development of teachers and the general public. For this reason, a few months ago a wide variety of authors and expert compilers in educational issues and history were brought together, with the aim of evaluating the different changes that have taken place in the field of education from the fifteenth century to the present day.
The 15 volumes study three great periods of our history. In the first period an instruction predominates to form subjects in the colonial era; in the second, an education to form Creole citizens in the 19th century; and in the third, in the middle of the 20th century, an education that seeks to integrate diversity prospers , explained Manuel Burga Díaz, president of the Editorial Committee of the project.
The results of this research will allow us to have a better understanding of the educational models in our country. In addition, the study of the projects and reforms of the sector in its different periods and socio-political contexts will contribute to a better understanding of the failure and success they had and their repercussions today.
The Peruvian Educational Thought Collection will be presented to the public next Friday, August 2, at 7 pm, in the César Vallejo Auditorium of the 18th International Book Fair (Av. Salaverry block 17, Jesús María).
