What was Roosevelts response to the great depression?

Franklin D. Roosevelt's response to the Great Depression was a series of policies known as the New Deal.

The New Deal introduced a wide range of programs and reforms designed to provide relief for the unemployed, stimulate economic recovery, and reform the financial system.

Some of the major New Deal programs included:

* The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), which provided jobs for young men in conservation projects.

* The Works Progress Administration (WPA), which created jobs for unemployed workers in public works projects.

* The Social Security Act, which established a system of social insurance for retired workers, the unemployed, and the disabled.

* The National Recovery Administration (NRA), which established codes of fair competition for businesses and set minimum wage and price standards.

* The Public Works Administration (PWA), which provided funding for large-scale public works projects.

* The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), which developed the Tennessee River Valley and provided electricity and other services to the region.

The New Deal had a significant impact on the United States economy and society.

It provided relief to millions of unemployed workers and their families, helped to stimulate economic recovery, and introduced important reforms that laid the foundation for a more just and equitable society.
