Ulgulan rebellion of Birsa
The Munda rebellion was the most organized and widespread tribal revolt that took place between 1895 and 1900. Under the leadership of Birsa Munda, the tribals organized armed or fierce resistance in the areas of Ranchi, Singhbhum, Khunti, Tamar etc. against the British administration and zamindar-sahukar exploitation. The resistance led by Birsa Munda is called the Ulgulan rebellion.
