Battle of Bilgram – History of Bihar
Humayun's army stood face-to-face with Sher Shah near Kannauj or Bilgram in 1540 AD, only 1 year after being defeated at Chausa. After victory in the Battle of Bilgram (May 17, 1540 AD), Sher Shah camped in Kannauj and sent Sujat Khan to Gwalior for victory.
