Chola Empire
The Cholas were earlier equal to the Pallavas. In the 9th century, Vijayalaya revived the Chola power, made Tanjore his capital and assumed the title Narkesari. Aditya Chola defeated the Pallava ruler Aparajita and captured Chodmandal and assumed the title of Madurekekund. He built many Shiva temples in Tanjore.
Parantaka I assumed the title of Muderkonad after defeating the combined armies of Pandyas and Sri Lanka in the battle of Velur. The Rur inscriptions in the north belong to Prantik I. Rajaraja I campaigned for Sri Lanka, he got the Rajeshwar temple built in Tanjore. This was a Shaivite temple. Rajaraja I allowed the Shailendra ruler to build the Chondamani Buddhist Vihara at Nagapattinam. Local self-government was the most important feature of the Chola administration.

Chalukya Dynasty (Kalyani)
The history of Chalukyas of Kalyani begins with Telap. He defeated Parmar Naresh Manju. Someshwar shifted the new capital from Manyakhet to Kalyan. Vikramaditya was the great ruler of this dynasty, the Chalukya-Vikram era was practiced. Vigyaneshwar, the author of Vikramankadevcharita, and Vigyaneshwar, who wrote based on Yagyavalkya Smriti, were in his court. Someshvara composed Mansollas Shilpashastra.
Gang Dynasty
The Ganga dynasty was established in Orissa in the 7th-8th century, it is also called Chod Ganga. The famous ruler of the Ganga dynasty, Narasimha Dev Varman, built the famous Konark Sun Temple. Antvarman was another famous Ganga ruler. Who built the Jagannath temple in Puri.
Hoysala Dynasty (Dwarasamudra)
Vishnuvardhana founded the Hoysala dynasty of Dwarasamudra, he got the Chennakeshava temple built at Belur. The last ruler of the Hoysala dynasty was Ke Vira Balla. Which was defeated by Malik Kafur.
Yadav dynasty (Devagiri)
The Yadavs of the Yadav dynasty of Devagiri were founded by Bhillam (1187-1191 AD). Its capital was Devagiri.
