Portuguese

Dutch

English

In 1599 AD, a British traveler named John Mildenhall came to India by land. The English East India Company was established in 1600 AD. In 1609 AD, the first British Captain Hawkins came to Jahangir's court as the ambassador of the Gent.

In 1757 AD, the British established their supremacy as a political power by defeating Bengal in the battle of Siraj-ud-Daula Gopal Singh. After the Battle of Buxar in 1764 AD and the Treaty of Allahabad in 1765, the East India Company's dominance over Delhi was established.

French

The Pondicherry Treaty led to a ceasefire. The Third War of Carnatic took place between 1756 - 63. The war ended with the Treaty of Paris.
