Who first used the phrase black power?

The phrase "Black Power" was first popularised by Stokely Carmichael, a prominent figure in the civil rights movement in the United States. Carmichael used the term during a speech in June 1966 in Greenwood, Mississippi, where he stated, "We want black power. We don't want integration, and we don't want separation." The phrase gained traction as a symbol of black pride and self-determination, and became widely used by activists, groups, and organizations within the black community.
