How did the colonist show their dislike of stamp act?

1-Stamp Act Congress:

Delegates from nine colonies met

in New York to protest the act and adopted the Declaration of Rights and Grievances- affirming that any British taxes required the consent of colonial legislators.

2-Sons of Liberty:

Formed to resist the enforcement of the act were formed

throughout the colonies and

harassed any who would sell the

stamps and intimidated officials . They

also tarred and feathered officials

who supported or enforced the tax

.

3-Stamp Act Riots:

These occurred especially in Massachusetts where rioters mobbed and sacked the homes of the governor , stamp agents and royal customs office
