How about trying the Spiced Pan at Christmas?
It is close to the holidays and, like every year, in this period I will be back to post Christmas recipes from the past (see also https://www.pilloledistoria.it/9382/medioevo/ricette-natalizie-medievali-nucato) The following is taken from the site, partner of Pills of History , sguardosulmedioevo.org:it is simple and very tasty. So, Spiced Bread is made like this: "For 6 people: 150 gr. sugar, 1 cup of honey, 100 g of pine nuts, 2 teaspoons of ginger powder. In a saucepan, preferably copper, melt the sugar and honey over low heat, making sure they do not burn. When the mixture is a beautiful deep gold color, remove from the heat, add the pine nuts and ginger, mix well and pour on a marble surface greased with oil. Cut this crisp into diamonds and let it cool down. To keep it in a tin box, wrap it in transparent paper ” .
