One famous rendezvous that was planned during the American Revolution took place on the night of April 18-19, 1775. This meeting, known as the "Concord Rendezvous," brought together a group of American militiamen from Massachusetts who planned to intercept a British force heading to Concord to destroy military supplies stored there. The rendezvous happened at the town of Menotomy (present-day Arlington), where the militia members gathered after receiving news that the British were on the move.
