What is the lieutenant job?

Responsibilities:

- Lieutenants are responsible for leading, supporting, and supervising teams of Soldiers.

- Plan and supervise training and operations.

- Conduct safety briefings and ensure that all personnel are aware of and comply with safety regulations.

- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and functional.

- Investigate accidents and incidents, and take appropriate corrective action.

- Serve as a role model for Soldiers and embody the Army's values and standards.

- Develop and implement plans for the unit, and supervise their execution.

- Conduct training and coaching for subordinates, and provide feedback on their performance.

- Represent the unit in meetings and other official functions.

- Ensure that the unit is prepared for combat, and deploy with the unit as needed.

Qualifications:

- Must have a bachelor's degree or higher.

- Must have completed officer training school and have at least two years of experience in the Army.

- Must be physically fit and have a valid driver's license.

- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Must be proficient in the use of military equipment.
