Born in a small town not far from Stuttgart in Germany, Erwin Rommel was passionate about history and aviation at school. He joined the army a few years later. For this, he joined the military school and, in 1910, he was promoted to corporal and then sergeant. During the First World War, Rommel is at the head of a regiment with which he will fight on the front. On September 24, 1914, Rommel was wounded by the French, which earned him a decoration from the German army. During the interwar period, he took a step back from the military world and enrolled in university. It was not until 1933 and the arrival of Hitler in power that Rommel resumed his military activities. Well seen by Hitler, he will be a key man in the Nazi army and will participate in the great battles of the Second World War. Involved in the planned putsch against Hitler, he finally kills himself in 1944 on Hitler's orders.
