The Pig Monument is also known as Sahachat Monument. The word Sahachat refers to those born in the same year, namely Prince Krom Phraya Risaranuwattiwong. Phraya Phiphatanakosa (Celestino Xavier) and Phraya Ratchasongkhram (Korn Hongsakul) have jointly built it in remembrance of His Majesty's grace.
With a brief history of the origin is in the year 1913, when Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, a thousand years in the reign of King Rama VI, was 50 years old. Those who were born in the United Nations or the same year as Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn I thought to make a chest of Phra Sri offerings, but the royal voice came down that he didn't accept the offering. Therefore, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn consulted with Phraya Phiphat Kosa (Celestino Xavier) to think that the practice would not violate the royal patronage. So they agreed to build a monument in the shape of a pig which is the year of the zodiac of Her Royal Highness Princess Sipatcharin and make a water faucet for the people. To dedicate it as a royal charity on the day of his birthday Later, Phraya Ratchasongkhram (Korn Hongsakul) knew it and asked to join, so it was agreed to join the construction of 3 people. Take a photo and make a letter signing the name of the United Nations of the people who jointly funded the monument to offer to the royal charity.
The appearance of the monument is in the shape of a pig. cast in black metal facing south standing on the base of the rock When it was first built, large blocks of stone were used to stack together as a base, now the stone base has been changed to cement and raised to a higher height than before, looks like a mountain. The base has a gray slate inscription, width 80 cm., height 58 cm., letters and Thai language on 1 side, 6 lines, inscribed with a message of blessings to Her Majesty Queen Sripatcharindra. Continue with the names and names of those who invested in the construction of the monument for dedication.

In addition, in 1994, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, together with the Thai Environment Business Committee, jointly organized the project to develop the environment of the former canal moat, while exploring the area, a brick wall was found behind the Sahachat monument. (Pig) So the Fine Arts Department came to check. from archaeological excavations found The eastern wall of Krung Thon Buri
Archaeological excavations have laid out a 5x8 meter pit layout behind the Sahachat (Pig) Monument, about 7 meters west of the former moat canal. It was built with 7 - 8 bricks, the size of which was 13x27x5 centimeters. Later, the walls were demolished and sidewalks and structures were built over the walls of Krung Thon Buri.
From the excavation, it is assumed that the structure of the Krung Thon Buri wall Compared with the Rattanakosin Wall, the Krung Thon Buri wall laid the foundation with the edge of the wall protruding inside and outside. This wall is made of bricks with a width of 90 cm. Inside the wall is compacted with soil.
Important antiques found include local pottery, coins, roof tiles, glassware, clay dolls, etc. The antiques were found in the clay layer 20 - 70 centimeters from the soil surface.
