Raja Rammohun Roy is called the father of Indian Renaissance. Raja Rammohun Roy founded the Hindu College in Kolkata along with Vedanta College and David Hare.

The Brahmin society was founded by Raja Rammohan Roy in 1828 AD.

After the split in the Brahmin society, Keshavchandra Sen founded the Adi Brahmin Samaj in 1866.

Henry Vivian Derozio, the originator of the Young Bengal movement, was a professor at the Hindu College.

Rathna Samaj was founded at Atmaram Pandurang in Mumbai.

Arya Samaj was founded by Swami Dayanand Swami in 1833 in Mumbai. The real name of Dayanand Saraswati was Moolshankar. Dayanand Saraswati gave the slogan of return to the Vedas.

Ramakrishna Mission was founded by Swami Vivekananda in 1800 AD. This hymn was named after Ramakrishna Paramahansa. The real name of Swami Vivekananda was Narendra Dutt. Vivekananda had participated in the World Parliament of Religions of Chicago (USA) in the new 18 to 93 AD.

The Theosophical Society was founded by Colonel HS Alcott and Madame Blavatsky in 1875 AD in Nirvar. The branch of the Theosophical Society was established in Adyar near Chennai from 18 to 66 AD. The leader of the Wahabi movement was Syed Ahmed Barelvi. Patna was the main center of the Wahabi movement. The Aligarh Movement was started by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan.
