Clotaire II(584 - 629)

The Grands of Austrasia and Burgondie rallied to Clotaire II, who, like Clovis and Clotaire I, reigned over a reunited Gaul. On the other hand, he cannot combine the three kingdoms into one because of the aristocracy which is becoming more and more important. The end of his reign is peaceful, his kingdom enjoys relative abundance and the laws are applied, the wise sovereign dies leaving two sons:Dagobert and Caribert II.
