Supposed son of Thierry III, Clotaire IV is king of Neustria. He is chosen by Charles Martel, mayor of the palace of Austrasia, to replace Chilpéric II. But, once on the throne, he plays no role. Clotaire IV died in 719, Charles Martel replaced him with Chilpéric II.
