What is the oldest air force base?

The oldest continuously operated air force base is Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport, located in Dayton, Ohio, United States. The base was established in 1917 as Wilbur Wright Field, named in honor of the aviation pioneer who had died the previous year. It was redesignated as Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport in 1948. The base is currently home to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, the Air Force Research Laboratory, and the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
