What year was the roman alphabet invented?

There is no single year when the Roman alphabet was "invented". The Roman alphabet evolved over several centuries from the Etruscan alphabet, which was used by the Etruscans, an ancient civilization of central Italy. The Etruscans adopted their alphabet from the Greeks in the 7th century BC, and the Romans began to adopt the Etruscan alphabet in the 6th century BC. Over time, the Romans made some changes to the Etruscan alphabet, and the Roman alphabet that we use today was standardized by the 1st century AD.
