Edward John Eyre (1815-1901) was a British explorer of Australia who led an expedition from South Australia to Western Australia in 1840-41.

His party members:

1. John Baxter as second in command.

2. John Corrigan who left halfway in search of better country further north as they found no water during the first half of the exploration.
