When did people begin farming?

The earliest evidence of farming dates back to around 12,000 BCE in the Fertile Crescent region of the Middle East. During this time, people began to domesticate plants and animals, allowing them to settle in one place and cultivate their food. The spread of farming practices from the Fertile Crescent to other parts of the world followed different timelines, with varying dates of adoption depending on geographical, cultural, and environmental factors.
