Professional Wrestling Career
Adelle Nutter entered the professional wrestling business as a valet for wrestler "Dr. Death" Steve Williams in the early 1980s. Williams used to compete for promotions such as Jim Crockett Promotions and Georgia Championship Wrestling (GCW).
In 1985, Nutter became a manager for Big Sky, a wrestler with whom she also had a romantic relationship in real life. Working together as tag team wrestler and valet, Nutter accompanied Sky on his matches, helped him cheat to gain wins, and interfered on his behalf to distract the opponents. As a heel manager, she became known for her trash-talking skills against the face wrestlers and fan favorite babyface wrestlers.
Following the conclusion of her work with Big Sky, Nutter stayed active in the Georgia independent circuit, appearing in promotions like World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Pro Wrestling Atlanta (PWA). She often portrayed a villainous character. Towards the late 1980s, she transitioned into becoming an interviewer for WCW Saturday Night.
Retirement
In the early 1990s, Adelle Nutter stepped away from the professional wrestling business. She moved to Alabama, where she settled and raised a family.
Legacy
Adelle Nutter is remembered for her contributions as a valet and manager in the Georgia independent wrestling circuit. Although not remembered as much as other female valets of her time period such as Tammy Sytch, Miss Elizabeth or Baby Doll, she still gained a degree of recognition for her villainous persona and her loyalty to the wrestlers she managed.
