Did Native Americans have bronze or the art of metallurgy?

Yes, several pre-Columbian Native American cultures possessed the art of metallurgy and used bronze. For instance, the Moche civilization of ancient Peru developed metallurgy around 1000 BCE, producing intricate gold, silver, and copper objects. Similarly, the metallurgy of the Inca Empire and other Andean cultures showcased their technical prowess in smelting and alloying metals, including bronze. In North America, the Mississippian culture (800-1600 CE) also practiced metallurgy, primarily working with copper and silver to create decorative items. Although the full extent of Native American bronze production is still being studied, it's clear that various indigenous groups achieved notable skill and innovation in metallurgy.
