Who invented the name jehova?

Jehovah is the anglicized version of the Hebrew Tetragrammaton, יְהֹוָה (YHWH), which is God's name as revealed in the Hebrew Bible. The name is first found in the Book of Exodus (3:14), where God tells Moses that his name is "I AM THAT I AM." Scholars are uncertain of the precise origin and meaning of the Tetragrammaton, but there are several possible explanations. One view is that it comes from the Hebrew verb "to be" (היה, hayah), and therefore means "He who is" or "The existent one." Another view is that it is derived from the verb "to fall" (נפל, naphal), and may signify "He who causes to fall" or "The bringer down." Regardless of its precise origin and meaning, the Tetragrammaton has been regarded as one of the most sacred and significant names of God in Judaism and Christianity.
