When were baths invented?

Baths have existed for thousands of years, with evidence of early bathing rituals dating back to the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia and the Indus Valley. These civilizations built elaborate bathing facilities, such as the Great Bath of Mohenjo-Daro, which was constructed around 2500 BC. The ancient Greeks and Romans also had a sophisticated bathing culture, with public baths serving as social hubs and places for relaxation and rejuvenation. However, the concept of the modern bathtub, as we know it today, emerged much later. It was not until the 19th century that bathtubs became widely accessible and incorporated into residential plumbing systems, leading to the widespread adoption of regular bathing practices in many societies.
