Why the egyptians use paper instead of papyrus?

Egyptians did not stop using papyrus; they still use it today for making traditional artwork and souvenirs, and it's exported to crafters around the world. Paper production was introduced in Egypt in the 10th century, long after the use of papyrus. However, papyrus was mainly replaced by parchment, a writing material made from animal skins, rather than paper.
