Who was the president of Russia during Cold War?

The Soviet Union, not Russia, was the main rival of the United States during the Cold War. The Soviet Union was a communist state that existed from 1922 to 1991. It was led by a series of general secretaries of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, including Joseph Stalin, Nikita Khrushchev, Leonid Brezhnev, Yuri Andropov, Konstantin Chernenko, and Mikhail Gorbachev.
