Who was the last czar of Russia before Communists took over?

Nicholas II (Nikolai Alexandrovich Romanov) was the last Emperor of Russia, ruling from 1 November 1894 until his forced abdication on 15 March 1917. His reign saw the end of the Russian Empire, the revolutions of 1905 and 1917, and his eventual execution along with his immediate family by the Bolsheviks.
