History of South America

Southerners did not need to sell their products in Europe raise money for the war effort.?

This statement is historically incorrect. The Southern economy was heavily reliant on the export of agricultural goods, such as cotton, to European markets. The proceeds from these exports were used to fund the Confederate war effort. When the Union blockade of Southern ports disrupted these exports, it had a devastating impact on the Southern economy and was a major factor in the Confederacy's defeat in the American Civil War.
