History of South America

How many points do the stars have on American flag?

There are 50 stars on the American flag. Each star represents one of the 50 states that make up the United States of America. The stars are arranged in nine horizontal rows, with six stars in each row, except for the top row, which has seven stars. This arrangement is said to represent the "constellation" of the United States.

The first American flag, which was created in 1777, had 13 stars, one for each of the 13 original colonies. As new states were added to the Union, more stars were added to the flag. The current design of the flag, with 50 stars, was adopted in 1959.
