What did the US do as a result of Roosevelt collary?

As part of Theodore Roosevelt's policy for Latin America, the Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine stated that the US Government could and should intervene in the internal affairs of Latin American countries to maintain stability and protect American interests.

When Roosevelt issued his corollary, he explained it as extending application of the Monroe Doctrine to cover a threat of "chronic wrongdoing, or an impotence which results in a general loosening of the ties of civilized society. This means simply that America will step in when necessary as the representative of civilization."
