Where white people ever enslaved by blacks?

There were instances where white people were enslaved by black people, particularly during the Barbary slave trade. The Barbary slave trade involved the capture and enslavement of European Christians by Muslim pirates and raiders from North Africa, mainly from Algiers, Tunis, and Tripoli, between the 16th and 19th centuries. It is estimated that over one million Europeans were enslaved during this period, with some being held captive for decades or even their entire lives. While the Barbary slave trade did not involve black people enslaving white people on a large scale, it is an important part of history that highlights the complex and often overlooked dynamics of slavery in different parts of the world.
