What nationality was Caligula?

Caligula was a Roman. He was born Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus Germanicus on August 31, 12 AD in Antium, Italy. He was the son of Germanicus and Agrippina the Elder. Caligula was a member of the Julio-Claudian dynasty and was the great-nephew of Emperor Tiberius, whom he succeeded as emperor in 37 AD.
