What finally causes the us to enter World War 1?

The United States entered World War I on April 6, 1917, after Germany resumed unrestricted submarine warfare in the North Atlantic and sank several American ships, most notably the RMS Lusitania in 1915. The United States had been neutral up until this point, but the sinking of the Lusitania and other American ships, as well as Germany's attempts to sabotage American industry and infrastructure, led to growing public support for intervention in the war. President Woodrow Wilson asked Congress to declare war on Germany on April 2, 1917, and Congress did so four days later.
