What nation remained neutral during world war 2?

Ireland

Ireland remained neutral throughout World War II. This neutrality was a result of a number of factors, including:

* Ireland's history of oppression by Britain, which made it reluctant to take sides in a war between Britain and Germany.

* Ireland's desire to avoid the destruction and loss of life that had occurred in other European countries during World War II.

* Ireland's economic dependence on Britain, which made it difficult to cut off trade with Britain and join the Allied Powers.

Despite its neutrality, Ireland did provide some assistance to the Allies, such as allowing Allied aircraft to use Irish airfields and providing medical care for Allied soldiers. However, Ireland did not officially declare war on Germany until 1945, a few weeks before the end of the war.
