* Nelson Mandela (1918-2013): First black President of South Africa and leader of the anti-apartheid movement.

* Rosa Parks (1913-2005): Civil rights activist who refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama, sparking the Montgomery Bus Boycott.

* Jesse Jackson (1941-present): Civil rights activist and politician who ran for President of the United States in 1984 and 1988.

* Muhammad Ali (1942-2016): World heavyweight boxing champion and civil rights activist.

* Oprah Winfrey (1954-present): Talk show host, actress, producer, and entrepreneur.

* Michael Jackson (1958-2009): Singer, songwriter, and dancer who is considered one of the greatest entertainers of all time.
