Did The colonists agree with Stamp Act?

The colonists did not agree with the Stamp Act. They argued that the British Parliament did not have the right to tax them without their consent, as they were not represented in Parliament. The colonists also felt that the Stamp Act was unfair because it taxed all paper goods, regardless of their value. This meant that even the poorest colonists had to pay the tax, which many of them could not afford. The colonists protested the Stamp Act in a variety of ways, including boycotts, demonstrations, and riots. The protests eventually led to the repeal of the Stamp Act in 1766.
