When did Resistance Army insurgency happen?

The resistance Army insurgency in northern Uganda began in 1987 and lasted for over two decades, until 2006. The insurgency was led by Joseph Kony and his rebel group, the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). The LRA was responsible for numerous atrocities, including massacres, abductions, and sexual violence. The insurgency had a devastating impact on the region, with over two million people displaced from their homes and thousands killed.
