WhatAmericans were Gassed in Argonne Forest?

During World War I, American troops were not gassed in the Argonne Forest. It is a well-known fact that American soldiers were gassed multiple times during the war, but those instances occurred in different locations, such as the second battle of Ypres in Belgium and the Battle of Saint-Mihiel in France. The Argonne Forest was the site of a major American offensive in September and October 1918, and while the fighting there was intense, there is no record of American troops being gassed there.
