Why was haji shariat ullah movement known as the faraiza movement?

Haji Shariatullah's movement was known as the Faraizi movement because it emphasized strict adherence to the mandatory duties (fara'iz) of Islam and opposed customary practices and innovations (bid'ah) that were viewed as deviations from Islamic principles. The movement emphasized the importance of following the Five Pillars of Islam, including prayer, fasting, charity, and the pilgrimage to Mecca, and sought to purify religious practices by eliminating un-Islamic influences and rituals. The Faraizi movement played a significant role in reforming religious practices and promoting social justice in the region.
