History of Africa

Where were slaves from africa taken?

Slaves from Africa were primarily taken to the Americas, particularly the Caribbean and the eastern coast of South America. During the transatlantic slave trade, millions of Africans were forcibly transported to the New World to serve as labor in plantations, mines, and various industries. The major destinations included Brazil, the Caribbean islands (such as Jamaica, Cuba, and Hispaniola), and the southern colonies of North America (later the United States).
