Was The Crusades were effectively ended by Saladin when he gained control of Egypt and took the offensive against Christian states?

While Saladin's victory at the Battle of Hattin and his subsequent capture of Jerusalem in 1187 marked a significant turning point in the Crusades, it did not effectively end them. The Crusades continued for several more centuries, with subsequent crusading expeditions launched in response to Saladin's conquests. Although these later Crusades were largely unsuccessful, they demonstrate that the Crusades were not effectively ended by Saladin's actions alone.
